Mithril, an AI company specializing in industrial safety, announced on the 21st that it won the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award at the '2025 ConTech Meet-Up Day' held at the Grand Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul, selected as a final winner for its AI solution tailored to serious accident prevention.

This award holds significant meaning as Mithril’s AI-driven industrial safety technology gained official state recognition for its innovation and commercial viability.

ConTech Meet-Up Day is SK Ecoplant's flagship open innovation program held annually to discover startups and SMEs with innovative technologies. A total of 120 submissions were evaluated this year. Following rigorous document screening and two rounds of presentation evaluations, only six technologies were selected, with Mithril earning the top-tier government commendation—the Minister's Award—for excellence in AI innovation.

Key highlights regarding Mithril's award-winning technology and future plans include:

  • Guardian-Alpha Capabilities: Detects industrial hazards beforehand and monitors risky behaviors in real time. Its technological reliability has already been validated across high-risk sectors including manufacturing, chemical, and heavy industries.

  • Collaboration with SK Ecoplant: CEO Jeong-hyun Cho stated, "Winning this award proves our technology makes a practical contribution to safety innovation across industries. Through our collaboration with SK Ecoplant, we will further advance this into a world-class industrial safety AI solution."

  • The 'K-Palantir' Vision: Beyond basic video analytics, Mithril integrates next-generation tech like Vision-Language Models (VLMs) to connect and analyze real-world operational data in real time, earning the moniker "K-Palantir" for resolving complex enterprise and field challenges.
