Mithril Signs MoU with Malaysia’s Sunway iLabs for AI Tech Cooperation
Mithril (CEO Jeong-hyun Cho), an industrial safety AI solution company, announced on the 20th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sunway Innovation Sdn. Bhd. (Sunway iLabs)—the innovation lab and Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) arm of Malaysia’s Sunway Group—to drive AI technology collaboration and identify new business opportunities in Southeast Asia.
Through this agreement, both parties plan to promote joint cooperation across AI and innovative technology sectors while exploring opportunities to integrate Mithril’s AI-driven industrial safety solutions into Sunway iLabs’ innovation network and ecosystem across industrial safety and smart city domains.
Key objectives of the partnership include:
Strategic AI Collaboration: Phased execution for discovering AI-driven business models, networking, and information exchange.
Smart City & Safety Integration: Adapting Mithril's AI solutions to Sunway's vast infrastructure network across Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
Technology Synergy: Combining Mithril's proprietary Vision-Language Models (VLMs) with Sunway's innovation platform to address complex field issues with real-time operational insights.

Mithril is Korea's first AI company specializing in industrial safety. Beyond basic video analytics, the company incorporates next-generation technologies like Vision-Language Models (VLMs) to process and interpret real-world field data in real time, earning the moniker "K-Palantir."
