Mithril Selected for 2025 Safe Shipyard Working Environment Construction Project

Mithril Selected for 2025 Safe Shipyard Working Environment Construction Project Partnering with Donghwa Entec to Deploy AI-Driven Safety Management Systems in Shipyards
Mithril announced its official selection for the 2025 Safe Shipyard Working Environment Construction Project, organized by the Research Institute of Medium & Small Shipbuilding (RIMS) in collaboration with South Korea's primary shipbuilding regions, including South Jeolla Province, Busan, Ulsan, and South Gyeongsang Province.
This government-backed initiative aims to prevent serious accidents and elevate health, safety, and environment (HSE) capabilities across small-to-medium shipyards and their subcontractors by integrating cutting-edge AI and IoT technologies directly into maritime operational workflows.
Under this project, Mithril will partner with demand company Donghwa Entec Co., Ltd. to deploy an AI-powered vision analytics platform designed for high-risk maritime manufacturing environments.
Key highlights of the deployment and strategic significance include:
Real-Time Risk Detection: Installing advanced AI vision technology across high-risk shipyard zones to continuously monitor operational hazards and proactively trigger warnings before accidents occur.
Worker Protection & Efficiency: Securing personnel safety within complex, high-risk shipyard environments while minimizing operational downtime and bolstering site productivity.
Sector Portfolio Expansion: Validating the adaptability of Mithril's Vision-Language Model (VLM) architecture as it scales beyond discrete manufacturing into the heavy shipbuilding and marine equipment industries.
This selection highlights institutional trust in Mithril's core safety technologies. Mithril remains committed to advancing site-tailored AI solutions that establish new benchmarks for industrial safety across diverse global sectors.
