Mithril Selected as Partner Company by Chungnam Defense Venture Center

AI technology firm Mithril has been selected as a partner company by the Chungnam Defense Venture Center, operated by the Korea Research Institute for Defense Technology Planning and Advancement (KRIT).

The Chungnam Defense Venture Center is a support organization established to identify and foster promising small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and ventures in the defense sector within Chungcheongnam-do Province. It designates partner companies from among businesses possessing proven technological capabilities and market viability applicable to the defense domain.

With this selection, Mithril plans to expand the application of its technologies into the defense and military sectors, building on its Vision AI expertise accumulated in industrial fields as well as its proprietary AI foundation model currently under development.

Mithril has been advancing its technology to analyze diverse visual data generated at industrial sites, enabling real-time detection of workplace hazards and abnormal conditions. Based on field-centric data interpretation and situational awareness capabilities, this Vision AI technology offers high scalability adaptable across various industrial domains.

Furthermore, Mithril is building a technological framework capable of understanding and judging complex, real-world site data using its domain-specific AI foundation model. Through this, the company is expanding its business footprint into various sectors, including industrial safety, manufacturing AI transformation (AX), physical AI, and smart cities.

Mithril is currently deploying various AI business initiatives, including its industrial safety AI solution 'Guardian-Alpha,' data-driven manufacturing AX solutions, and physical AI. Through this designation, the company aims to solidify its foundation for business expansion beyond industrial sectors and into the defense industry.
