Mithril Receives Minister of SMEs and Startups Commendation for AI Industrial Safety Innovation
Mithril (CEO Jeong-hyun Cho), an AI company specializing in industrial safety, announced that it received a Ministerial Commendation from Han Seong-sook, Minister of SMEs and Startups, on September 10 in recognition of its contributions to safety innovation and serious accident prevention in industrial environments.
As South Korea's first AI enterprise specialized in industrial safety, Mithril has been pioneering safety management across domestic industrial sites through its proprietary solution, Guardian-Alpha.
Beyond conventional video analytics, Mithril integrates next-generation technologies like Vision-Language Models (VLMs) to connect and analyze real-world operational data in real time—resolving complex enterprise and field issues to earn its reputation as the "K-Palantir."
Key developments and global footprint include:
Middle East & Africa Expansion: Signed MoUs in July with Elsewedy Electric, Egypt's largest power and energy firm, and AOI (Arab Organization for Industrialization), Egypt's state-owned defense enterprise, establishing a strategic foothold in MEA markets.
Asian Market Penetration: Actively conducting export negotiations and Proof of Concept (PoC) projects with major enterprises in Indonesia and Japan to set global standards for industrial safety AI.
